American entertainer and MTV’s Rob & Big Star, Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin dies at 45.
According to TMZ, his rep said Chris died Tuesday morning. No official cause of death yet, but multiple people connected to Chris tell us they believe it was a heart attack.
MTV has released a statement over the death of Chris.
“MTV is deeply saddened to learn the news of Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin’s passing,” MTV wrote in a statement.
“He was a long time and beloved member of the MTV family and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this time.”
Big Black rose to fame as the bodyguard of professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek on the wildly popular Rob and Big Star series, which ran for three seasons from 2006-2008.
They broke a lot of Guinness world records, on the show.
