Melania Trump is suing a British newspaper,Daily Mail and a US blogger for $150million over claims she was once a sex worker,the BBC reports.
The Daily Mail reported that a modelling agency that Melania Trump worked with in the 1990s also served as an escort service.
The piece, citing a magazine in Melania’s native Slovenia, linked the would-be First Lady with the line of work and implied she had met her husband earlier than previously believed.
“These defendants made several statements about Mrs Trump that are 100% false and tremendously damaging to her personal and professional reputation”Defendants’ actions are so egregious, malicious and harmful to Mrs. Trump that her damages are estimated at $150 million dollars.
The lawsuit alleges that the Maryland blogger, Webster Griffin Tarpley, published
“false and defamatory statements” about Trump, including that the former model had suffered from “a full-blown nervous breakdown.
